We have previously travelled and ridden over large areas of Scotland in the past.

Somehow we have not yet managed to ride the 'top-end' roads between Thurso and Lochinver.

This year we intend to remedy the situation, planning our trip for early October 2021.

It's 'Not Quite' the North Coast 500 route but similar in a lot of respects.

The schools are all back, and the tourist numbers have diminished. The midgies will hopefully be hiding! We only need be concerned with what the weather may bring.

We have ridden before in the Highlands in October and whilst we did encounter some rain the weather was not too bad on that trip. Lets us hope for more of the same.

As ever we hope to ride the roads less travelled, but in the far north there isn't as much choice there being fewer roads.
